Missed UV treatment prompts Vernon, B.C. to issue precautionary water advisory

Vernon, B.C. – A precautionary water advisory has been issued for Greater Vernon after some of the water at the Duteau Water Treatment Plant missed UV treatment. An air valve failed Sunday at a water main, initiating the issue. Tap water was consequently turned off to hundreds of customers in the affected area in order for a fix to be made.
